I'm behind on posting my work, so I wanted to share pictures from a wedding last September for which I contributed a few calligraphy designs! Because the wedding was out in Montauk and I was due to be in Virginia prepping for our own big day, I painted the mirror a couple weeks ahead of time. (You might recognize it from this post!) I'm friends with the lovely bride and felt incredibly honored she wanted me to help with some special details. By the way, isn't "help us capture the love!" such a clever Instagram sign? I thought so!
I lettered the table numbers on ornate kraft paper from here. I'm obsessed with those silver bird holders, too!
It always makes me a little dizzy when I decorate a mirror because I can see the reflection of my hand and my awkward I'm-in-a-zone face, but I truly adore the final product.
How pretty are those flowers, too?! Mirror calligraphy might be one of my favorite event details. That, and chalk calligraphy. I'm doing some other on-site work in a few weeks and am so excited to help decorate and transform the venue.
Thank you so much to Cappy Hotchkiss Photography for all of these beautiful photos. You can see more of their wedding in this feature on Carats & Cake (woohoo!) and more of my mirror calligraphy here.
